VICTA are planning to launch the new year in style with an 18+ trip to the historical spa city of Bath. Famous for its Roman baths, natural hot springs and Georgian architecture, this unique city is brimming with culture and style, with plenty to do and to explore.
On the Saturday our group will meet at 12pm at Bath Spa Train station. From here we will head to the Jane Austen Centre and Regency Tea Room for an elegant afternoon tea, with finger sandwiches and a cream tea. We will then tour the centre, learning all about the life of this classic English novelist and her time living in Bath during the regency era.
On Sunday we will explore Bath’s history further with a walking tour, discovering all the scandalous secrets and stories of the regency period. After refuelling for lunch our next tour will take us to the Roman Baths museum which will include a tactile object handling session. Dinner will be enjoyed out in one of Bath’s many restaurants and then back to the hotel for our second overnight stay.
After a busy couple of days we will be ready for a treat! Attendees will have the morning free to shop and socialise. After lunch, we are booked into the Thermae Bath Spa for two hours of pure relaxation. This will again be followed by a meal out and another overnight stay at the hotel. Attendees will need to bring spending money to cover all of the meals out and drinks (with the exception of afternoon tea).
Departure is on the Tuesday morning after breakfast.
