For a few years now our VICTA Christmas tree has been looking a little sad and we need your help to spruce it up this year!
We are running a competition in which we would like children of all ages to make a decoration to send in to us. We will then be decorating our tree throughout December and sharing photos on our website and social media for you all to see. There will be prizes for first, second and third place and a little treat for all the runners up to say thank you for bringing our tree to life! The winning decoration will be presented last and take pride of place on the top of the tree.
The only rules are that decorations must be able to be hung on a tree and be home-made, as we all know that these are the most special of all! Little ones can ask their siblings to help and use any materials you can find to hand. If you would rather do a drawing you can upload it via the form below and we will print it off for you.
Here are a few ideas to get you started!
- Rainbow paper-chains
- Tinfoil stars
- Tactile pom-pom snowmen
- Spiced Braille biscuits (see how to make them on Through Scarlett’s Eyes)
Terms and Conditions
The competition closes on Friday 25th November 2016 at 9am and winners will be notified no later than Friday 16th December 2016. Prizes will be sent out by post after this date. Entries will be judged by VICTA staff members and their decision will be final. The competition is open to children who are blind or partially sighted and their families/siblings. By entering the competition you agree to photographs of the entry being used for promotion purposes and to the name and age of the entrant being shared.
The competition has now closed and we will be revealing the results over the next couple of weeks. Thank you for all of your beautiful entries!
