Improving the lives of children and young people who are blind or partially sighted
Early Years Weekend 2017
Date: Saturday 21 October to Sunday 22 October 2017 Age Range: 0 to 4 years Location: New College Worcester Cost: £10 per adult, £5 per child Application Deadline: 15 August 2017
This will be the fourth year running for our Early Years Weekend, held at New College Worcester. The weekend has proved popular and offers a space for children in the 0 to 4 age bracket who are blind or partially sighted to come together along with their families (parents/guardians and siblings).
The weekend will involve baby and toddler activities for your little ones to join in with but will also have a focus on workshops and information for the parents. The itinerary is yet to be confirmed but past years have seen the little ones have fun in the ‘play room’ on the first day and enjoy a small animal encounter whilst the parents get a chance to take in the workshops and talks. The second day then consists of family activities such as African drumming, which you can all enjoy together.
The venue, New College Worcester, is a school for the visually impaired. Accommodation will be provided on campus in the student rooms and main meals in the dining hall.
The price includes accommodation, meals and activities. If you wish to attend please fill out the application forms below.
Please note, in addition to completing the online form, you must also download and complete a parent consent form for each child attending. We cannot confirm your place without this form. Please return the form to: VICTA Children, 5 Douglas House, 32-34 Simpson Road, Fenny Stratford, Milton Keynes, MK1 1BA.
