This summer VICTA will be all about the sea, surf and (hopefully!) sun as we head off on a surfing adventure! If you have always fancied hitting the waves then this is the perfect opportunity to take some lessons and learn to surf in a fun environment.

The break will be based in Mumbles, the gateway to the Gower Peninsula, well known for its outstanding coastal beauty, sandy beaches and excellent surf. Mumbles itself is a charming seaside village with plenty to see and do including eateries, a Victorian pier and the historic Oystermouth Castle. We will be staying in the Shoreline Hotel, a small family run hotel conveniently located for all Mumbles has to offer.

The break will include three mornings of surfing lessons, facilitated by ‘Surfability’, a surf school specifically set up to provide surfing experiences for people with disabilities. Our afternoons will be spent on dry land exploring the area and we will also enjoy a social evening activity which is yet to be confirmed.

The contribution required to attend is £150, this will cover accommodation, breakfast, and all of the activities. Participants will need to bring spending money to cover their own lunches and eating out for dinner in the evenings. You will also need to make your own way to and from the venue.
