The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for everyone to do their bit to help save the UK’s charities.

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a devastating effect on charities, VICTA included, with the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of billions in fundraising income. In response, the organisers of the biggest mass-participation sports events across the country have come together to create a new campaign to raise vital funds to help to save the UK’s charities.

We’re inviting you, your family and friends to take part in The 2.6 Challenge from Sunday 26 April to help to save the UK’s charities.

Get involved

This is a challenge for all ages and abilities. All you need to do is think of an activity based around the numbers 26 or 2.6 that suits your skills and complete it on or from Sunday 26 April.

This could be something as simple as pledging to run 2.6 miles as your daily exercise to doing 26 minutes of yoga or juggling for 26 minutes (or maybe just 2.6 minutes) non-stop.

And don’t worry if you’re not able to get out your house or flat for now – you can do your 2.6 challenge anywhere inside too! There are no rules, apart from the Government guidelines on how to exercise safely during this time.

Whatever you can do, you can be a part of it – the main thing is to get active, have fun and pledge whatever you can to help.

What to do next

There are just five simple steps to take.

Step 1     Dream up your 2.6 challenge – if you need help there are lots of ideas here

Step 2     Click here to head to the Virgin Money Giving page  to donate £26 – or whatever you can afford – to VICTA or to set up a fundraising page

Step 3     Ask all your friends and family to sponsor you and challenge them to do their own 2.6 Challenge

Step 4     Complete your challenge

Step 5     Share a photo or video of your challenge on social media with #TwoPointSixChallenge

We hope you’ll join the nation in The 2.6 Challenge to support VICTA and help to save the UK’s charities.
