The VICTA Careers Day is the ideal activity for anyone looking to enter the world of work for the first time or finding it a challenge to re-enter.

Over the course of the day on Thursday 5 March, you will take part in a day full of discussions and interactive sessions that will focus on getting the most out of your personal skill-sets and experiences.

The sessions will focus on topics such as CV and cover letter writing, interview technique and accessibility/disclosure of vision impairment. You will also complete a skills audit, a useful tool to help with job applications.

There will also be the opportunity to openly discuss your CV with a graduate employment specialist on the day, and will have the opportunity to access follow up support after the Careers Day has finished.

Ultimately, whatever grades you achieve, you will most likely be competing against others who have similar academic qualifications. Therefore, it’s your employability – the unique mix of skills, abilities and personal qualities you possess – that will make you stand out from the crowd.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain professional advice in a relaxed environment among peers.

If you would like to arrive the night before, you can select the option to stay for an additional £15 (based on a shared twin room). Arrival on Wednesday evening will be at 5pm and will give you the opportunity to meet the rest of the group.

If you have any questions, please contact or call the Activities Team on 01908 240 831 and we will be happy to help.
