Please note, this activity has been postponed and we will update the information once a new date has been confirmed.
Join VICTA as we explore the former headquarters of the Allied Air Forces Command, Bentley Priory Museum, situated in Stanmore, on the London Underground’s Jubilee Line. With 2020 marking the 75th year since VE Day, Bentley Priory Museum is the perfect location to step into the past and discover the secrets of the command centre from where the Battle of Britain was won.
The Priory’s RAF History is brought to life through interactive exhibits – take a seat in a life-size, replica Spitfire cockpit or try on beautiful hand-made costumes from the era. Families can have fun using the explorer kit bags which include activities to make and do whilst exploring the museum. Each kit bag tells a different story of a Battle of Britain pilot or World War II Women’s Auxiliary Air Force member, so you will be able to explore more than one story.
After a tour of the house, our VICTA group will have the chance to try to identify and dress up in WWII RAF kits and have a go at some arts and crafts!
This should be a busy, fun and interactive day and a great opportunity to socialise with other families in your area. If you would like to apply for your family to attend, please complete the online application form below.
