For over three decades, Lions clubs around the globe have been sponsoring a very special art contest in schools and youth groups. Creating peace posters gives children everywhere the chance to express their visions of peace and inspire the world through art and creativity. What are you waiting for. Get your paints out, sharpen those pencils and get creating.

When we come together, we can do amazing things. This year, Lions International are inviting students around the world to envision what can happen when a diverse group of people unites around a common cause or goal. Imagine a world where we all come together as one!

The Prizes

At local level, the contest winner is recognised by the sponsoring Lions club. Artists of the posters advancing to the final international judging is recognised as follows:

  • International Grand Prize Winner receives a trip to an award ceremony where he/she will receive US$5,000 (or local equivalent) and an award. Two family members (one being the winner’s parent or legal guardian) and the sponsoring Lions club president or a club member (as designated by the club president) are invited to accompany the winner to the award ceremony.
  • 23 Merit Award Winners each receive US$5,000 (or local equivalent) and a certificate of achievement.

Contest Rules and Conditions:

  • The theme of the poster contest is ‘Together as one’
  • The deadline is 31 October. After which VICTA will pass your entry to our local Lions club who will sponsor you for the contest.
  • The contest is open to children who will be 11, 12 or 13 years of age on 15 November 2025. Eligible birth dates are 16 November 2011 to 15 November 2014.
  • Artwork must be no smaller than 13 inches by 20 inches (33 centimetres by 50 centimetres) and no larger than 20 inches by 24 inches (50 centimetres by 60 centimetres). Do not mat or frame artwork.
  • Only one entry per participant per year, and each entry must be the work of only one participant.
  • All artwork must be the individual’s original creation. Duplications are not accepted.
  • All media are accepted. Note: Chalk, charcoal and pastel entries should be sealed with a fixative spray to prevent smearing. Do not laminate entries.
  • Three-dimensional entries will not be accepted. Nothing may be glued, stapled or attached to the artwork in any way.
  • The use of lettering or numbering on the front of the poster, in any language, is not allowed. All artist signatures of initials should be written on the back of the poster.
  • Artwork should be done on a flexible material so it can be rolled for shipping in a mailing tube. Do not fold poster.
  • VICTA closing date: 31 October 2025

Vision impairment information

Supporting documentation If the applicant is registered, please include a copy of one of the following registration documents:
- Certificate of Vision Impairment (CVI)
- Blind Registration Card issued by local authority

If the applicant is not registered, please provide:
- a letter from an ophthalmologist confirming visual acuity.
- a letter from your local council outlining the individual to be registered
Please note, applications cannot be processed without these documents.
