Be a ‘mad scientist’ for the day at Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham, South Yorkshire!

The four galleries in the old Templeborough Steelworks house over 100 hands-on exhibits themed around air, earth, fire and water, the ‘elements’ needed for making steel. You will be able to walk through the vast building, a third of a mile long and 150 feet high.

Visit and experience the jaw-dropping ‘Big Melt’, a thundering multimedia show heard and seen from almost every part of the building.

We will also be throwing in the ‘Kitchen Sink’ and working with the staff at the Science Adventure Park to explore the curious, messy and slimy world full of the materials and objects of everyday life you can find around the kitchen, to create our own science experiments!

We will meet in the morning before heading into this exciting world of science! You and your family can then explore everything the centre has to offer at your leisure before we meet for lunch. Families can either bring their own packed lunch or purchase something from the cafe. After lunch we will enjoy the Kitchen Sink activity together before heading home.
