Join us this August for our 2025 Summer Camp on the theme of Empowerment! Create memories and build new friendships that last a lifetime.
With our action packed, eight-day itinerary, you will take part in lots of new and life changing experiences that will develop key skills such as communication, teamwork and problem-solving, as well as increasing your independence and resilience.
During the day, not only will you take on some thrill-seeking fun such as raft building, crate stacking and the zipwire, but you will also be participating in conservation work, contributing to the sustainability of the local environment. In 2022, our participants planted wildflowers in the VICTA Wildflower Meadow and built bat boxes for the Dearne Valley site; we returned in 2023 to build bird boxes and make natural art from foraged materials. Last year, we even supported a local volunteering organisation to help clear an overgrown woodland.
In the evenings, there will be campfires, games and the opportunity to listen and network with some VICTA young adults who have gone on to have success in sport, business and many other fields.
All of this personal development, including leaving the camp with a Leadership Award and Arts Award, will significantly boost your CV and future employability.
Here’s what last year’s campers had to say:
- “Just an amazing experience would definitely recommend volunteers and VICTA staff are very welcoming.”
- “I had an amazing time at VICTA Camp and I enjoyed meeting so many different people. The VICTA Staff were wonderful and I am very grateful to them for helping make it such a wonderful experience. I can’t wait to come next year!!”
