Ready, set, grow! It’s time to take part in the 2025 VICTA Sunflower Race!

The sun has been shining to let us know that Spring has arrived! You can now apply for your sunflower planting kit so that you can get planting, and take part in this year’s sunflower celebration. Each free pack includes sunflower seeds and marker cards to help you track your flower’s progress. We love seeing how tall your sunflowers grow and the fun you have planting them.
Every child who shares a photo of their flower with us for our gallery will receive a certificate and a little treat from us once the race finishes on 31 July 2025. Every time you share a photo you will also gain an entry into our big prize draw to win a £25 Argos voucher. Once you have your pack, we will send you the link where you can upload your photos.
There is an added bonus to taking part! Planting your sunflowers will count towards one of the activities in the nature section of the VICTA Young Achievers Award. You can find out more about the award here: victastudents.org.uk/young-achievers-award
How to get your free pack of seeds
Our free VICTA sunflower packs are available to children and young people who are:
- Registered or registrable blind or partially sighted and their siblings
- Age 0 to 17 years
- To apply you must be a permanent resident of the UK
- Please note, by sharing photos with us you are giving permission for us to share them on VICTA’s websites and social media channels along with your child’s first name and age. If you do not give permission for any of this information to be shared, please make it clear when submitting any photographs.
