VICTA invites you to another fun-filled family day at the fantastic Yorkshire Sculpture Park (YSP), to enjoy art without walls!

The YSP will be hosting the inaugural Yorkshire Sculpture International Festival, with works from the likes of Damien Hirst, Alison Milner, Rachel Kneebone and many more!

Beginning the day, everyone will take part in an artist supported workshop which will include a playful activity-based walk in the morning, followed by a sculpture making workshop to encourage us to work in teams to build a large-scale sculpture outside.

This promises to be a very creative day with plenty of art work and sculptures around to get hands-on with. With 80 works in the open air, there are many hidden treasures to hunt for, and unlike traditional galleries, at YSP you will be able to touch many of the sculptures. Family favourites in the Park include Playground by artist collective Greyworld, a musical sculpture that children will love to step across, and Crawling by Sophie Ryder, a half-woman, half-hare made from casts of domestic items and plastic toys.

There will be lunch facilities available at the YSP, but you are welcome to bring your own lunches as a picnic area is also available. Please note, there will be no VICTA staff in attendance at this activity.

Please note, this activity has been postponed and we will update the information once a new date has been confirmed.
