Sorry, this offer is now closed.

Spend a family day out exploring and identifying different species with iSpot and VICTA will reimburse your travel and lunch costs.

VICTA has been working with the British Science Association and the Open University to deliver ‘Bioblitz Days’ around the UK using iSpot and we now want to extend the opportunity for everyone to get involved.

iSpot is a friendly and free community helping to identify wildlife and share nature. You can browse thousands of species spotted so far and help identify new ones you may discover during your iSpot adventure!

If your child is under 10, this opportunity can go towards the ‘Science’ section of their VICTA Young Achievers Award by submitting evidence of them taking part.

Participation in this opportunity can also be used to enter the annual VICTA Science Fair competition.

The VICTA Offer:

  • Enjoy a family day out at a local wild space by 30 April e.g a local Wildlife Trusts space: https://www.wildlifetrusts.org/visit
  • Identify and upload photos, videos or sound recordings of species to iSpot (instructions below)
  • VICTA will reimburse your travel costs up to the value of £50 and the cost of lunch up to the value of £20. Travel costs relate to mileage if driving or against receipts if using public transport. Lunch costs will be reimbursed if we are provided with a copy of a receipt e.g cafe receipt.

Please note to be eligible for this offer your child must be registered or registerable as blind or partially sighted. VICTA may ask for a copy of your registration documents or a letter from an ophthalmologist as confirmation.

Please also note that this is a limited offer and VICTA reserve the right to close it once we reach capacity.
