Earn your Young Achievers Community Badge in a day!

VICTA would love you to join us at The Parks Trust’s Howe Park Wood this October.

“Howe Park Wood is an ancient woodland in the south west of Milton Keynes near Westcroft and Tattenhoe which boasts a rich variety of wildlife and fantastic on site facilities including toilets, a café and a small play area.”

Take part in a variety of activities centred around caring for your community park spaces; build bug hotels in flowerpots to take home, learn how to do a litter pick with guidance from Parks Trust staff, and try sensory bathing in the woods.

As part of the day, children with a vision impairment aged 10 and under will also earn their VICTA Young Achievers Community badge in a day and be well on their way to completing their medal. (Siblings will earn a Super Siblings certificate and pin-badge for being, well… super!) If you completed your Young Achievers Award last year, there’s still more to do as you can now work towards your gold badge.

Established as an independent charity in 1992, The Parks Trust expertly cares for over 6,000 acres of beautiful and inspirational green space in Milton Keynes including parks, ancient woodlands, lakes, river valleys and 80 miles of landscaped areas along the city’s grid roads.
