Don’t just go with the flow… paddle it!
Join a daring group of 18 to 29s and VICTA at Lee Valley White Water Centre in September for a thrilling day on the water. You’ll get to enjoy their unique water sport activities, trying stand up paddleboarding (SUP) and white-water rafting!
Taking advantage of Lee Valley’s Olympic facilities, you’ll have the opportunity to discover Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) on Lee Valley’s crystal-clear lake. No SUP experience necessary – turn up and test your balance skills.
There’ll just be time to catch your breath before tackling Lee Valley’s White-Water rafting bucket list experience; a 300m Canoe Slalom course purpose built for the 2012 Olympics. As part of this session, you will learn basic rafting skills and how to raft safely before hitting the rapids – paddles up!
Guided by Lee Valley instructors, this is a perfect opportunity for those who haven’t tried white-water rafting or SUP before, or for those who would like to perfect their skills in riding the waves. It’s also a great chance to meet likeminded individuals and participate in activities in a safe and supportive environment.
Due to the nature of this activity, we ask that participants have an appropriate level of water confidence to take part and must be able to swim. Lee Valley also has a weight restriction for their White-Water Rafting activities which is a maximum of 18 stone.
