Celebrate National Children’s Gardening Week over the May half term with VICTA and immerse yourself in a green space that is local to you. Getting outside and exploring your natural spaces can have a number of positive impacts: from increased awareness on our natural environment and improved physical fitness to supporting sound mental health and wellbeing.

About the ticket offer

We are offering to cover or contribute towards the cost of your VI child’s ticket (up to the value of £20).

This offer only applies to garden visits during National Children’s Gardening Week which runs from Saturday 23 May to Sunday 31 May 2026.

Please note that this is a limited offer and VICTA reserve the right to close it at any time.

To be eligible for this offer, you must be registered or registerable as blind or partially sighted. VICTA may ask for documentation to evidence your child’s vision impairment; acceptable documentation can include:

  • A Certificate of Vision Impairment (all parts)
  • A Blind registration card (both sides)
  • A letter from your local council outlining the individual to be registered
  • A letter from your Ophthalmologist outlining visual acuity

Steps to claim the offer

  1. Book and pay for your visit to a green space.
  2. Complete the form below, uploading a picture or screenshot of your payment receipt ensuring that the cost of the VI child’s ticket is clearly shown along with the date of your visit. VICTA will confirm receipt of your request for support.
  3. Once National Children’s Gardening Week is over, VICTA will be in touch with the process to claim reimbursement.
