ONCE (Spanish National Organisation of the Blind) and VICTA are giving students in Spain and the UK the opportunity to practice their language skills virtually.

This is perfect for those learning Spanish at school or those looking to practice their spoken language skills in a supportive environment. You can help Spanish students with their English language development and it’s a great opportunity to connect with and find out about another culture.

Topics of conversation could include traditions and customs, favourite subjects, holidays and food and drink.

The sessions will be approximately half hour in Spanish and half hour in English, with a short break in between beginning at 5pm, finishing at 6:15pm. The session dates are below:

Registration for each session will close approximately a week before it is due to take place.  You will be notified as to whether you have been successful and a Zoom link will be circulated closer to the session time.

To qualify for this activity the lead applicant (your VI child) must be either registered or registerable as blind or partially sighted (sight impaired/severely sight impaired).

VICTA will ask for supporting evidence post application if we have not previously received it.
