For the very first time, we’re bringing our thriving online parent community together in person. Introducing VICTA Parents LIVE – our brand-new, parent-only conference.

VICTA’s dedicated Parent Network has gone from strength to strength, providing connection, encouragement and practical guidance to families across the UK. In 2026, we’re excited to take the next step in its journey.

This inspiring one-day event has been created specifically for parents and carers of vision impaired children. It will offer a welcoming space to connect with other parents, share experiences, and gain valuable knowledge and tools to support your child with confidence.

The day will include:

  • Interactive workshops led by experienced professionals
  • Open and supportive group discussions
  • A live panel session featuring expert and parent voices

Keynote speaker: Claire Sisk

Claire Sisk is a TV presenter, This Morning’s first blind chef, and a leading accessibility advocate whose work centres on representation, inclusion, and authentic storytelling. As a blind content creator, Claire uses her platform to challenge misconceptions around disability and show what life with sight loss truly looks like – from travel and beauty to lifestyle, cooking, and live music.

She collaborates with major brands including NIVEA, Apple, Boots UK, Amazon, and Wembley Stadium, advising on accessibility, inclusive design, and disability-centred campaigns. Claire’s warm, relatable approach has built a highly engaged audience who value her honesty, humour, and insight.

Her work included cooking segments on national television, accessibility consultancy, digital content, and public speaking. Across every project, Claire’s goal is the same: to raise awareness, break barriers, and inspire a more inclusive world for everyone.

This year’s theme: from insight to support: how greater understanding of vision impairment empowers parents and carers

Together, we’ll explore how deeper awareness and understanding of vision impairment can strengthen parental confidence, build empathy, and equip families with practical, everyday strategies.

Whether you’re new to the journey or looking to expand your knowledge and network, this conference promises to inform, empower and connect.
