Visit your local science centre with our VI child ticket offer and indulge your curiosities!

Celebrate British Science Week throughout February half term and British Science Week (6-15 March) with VICTA and immerse yourself in STEM by visiting a science centre near you. This offer also applies if you are attending a science-themed show, workshop or event during February half term or British Science Week.

About the ticket offer:

  • We are offering to cover or contribute towards the cost of your VI child’s ticket (up to the value of £20).
  • This offer only applies to science centre visits or events during February half term or during British Science Week.
  • Please note that this is a limited offer and VICTA reserves the right to close it at any time.
  • To be eligible for this offer, you must be registered or registerable as blind or partially sighted. VICTA may ask for documentation to evidence your child’s vision impairment; acceptable documentation can include:
    • A Certificate of Vision Impairment (all parts)
    • A Blind registration card (both sides)
    • A letter from your local council outlining the individual to be registered
    • A letter from your Ophthalmologist outlining visual acuity

Steps to claim the offer:

  1. Decide where you would like to go, book and pay for your experience.
  2. Send VICTA a picture or screenshot of your payment receipt via the form below or to activities@victa.org.uk, ensuring that the cost of the VI child’s ticket is clearly shown along with the date of your visit. VICTA will confirm receipt of your submission/email.
  3. Once British Science Week is over, VICTA will be in touch with the process to claim reimbursement. If you have any questions about this offer, please contact activities@victa.org.uk

If the applicant is registered, please include a copy of one of the following registration documents: - Certificate of Vision Impairment (CVI) - Blind Registration Card issued by local authority If the applicant is not registered, please provide: - a letter from an ophthalmologist confirming visual acuity. Please note, applications cannot be processed without these documents.
