The kitchen

Welcome to The Kitchen!

Featured Cooks & Chefs

We are lucky at VICTA to have two superb cooks in our current crop of Young Ambassadors. Harriet and Ibz (‘the blindchef’) will be in our ‘Kitchen’ on festival weekend, with online videos, tutorials and tips to inspire you and get you busy in the kitchen.

Nathalie Bufton, an independent living teacher at New College Worcester has also provided us with some easy recipes to get you started. Chocolate fondue anyone?

Your Turn!

Lockdown has forced us to spend more time in our kitchen. There are now more and more tips, tricks and technology to make cooking a much more independent experience for visually impaired cooks. What have you/your child found useful when cooking? Share with us photos and recipes of your best bakes and signature dishes and let us know your hidden gems or top tips to support other visually impaired cooks in the kitchen. And remember, any photos, recipes, tips or guides you submit will be entered into a prize draw to win one of three £50 Amazon vouchers.
