VICTA is offering up to £50 travel expense cover to enable you to take part in Metro Blind Sport’s Athletics Open.

Please note that you must register to attend this event through the Metro Blind Sport website. The deadline is 1 June 2025. Once you have registered with Metro Blind Sport, you can apply for the VICTA Travel Offer using the form below. The deadline to apply for our Travel Offer is 13 June 2025, the day before the event.

Metro Blind Sport  invites athletes from 10 years and upwards, of all experience levels and abilities throughout the UK, to join them at the Athletics Day.

The VICTA offer

VICTA will cover travel expenses up to £50 for those wishing to attend the Metro Blind Sport Athletics Games. This offer only applies to the cost of the travel for a young person with a vision impairment from 10 years old up to the age of 29 and not for any travel companions.

 Travel expenses will be paid after the event. Please also note that this is a limited offer and VICTA reserves the right to close it once we reach capacity.

To benefit from this offer, you must:

  • Live outside London
  • Be 10 to 29 years old at the time of the event
  • Be registered or registrable as having a vision impairment

If this is the first VICTA activity that you are applying for, please note that applicants must be registered sight impaired or severely sight impaired, or be able to provide proof that they are registerable. Any information or documents supplied must include the applicant’s name, date of birth and visual acuity.
Supporting documentation
If the applicant is registered, please include a copy of one of the following registration documents: - Certificate of Visual Impairment (CVI) - Blind Registration Card issued by local authority If the applicant is not registered, please provide: - a letter from an ophthalmologist confirming visual acuity. Please note, applications cannot be processed without these documents.
