Join VICTA online as we take on mini-challenges and competitions to test your wile, wit and wisdom all while trying to impress the almighty Taskmaster! As we complete the tasks we will also be working our way through the Leadership Skills Foundation’s programme: Young Leaders.

Inspired by Channel 4’s hit show, Taskmaster; Taskmaster Education has developed a programme of fun and interactive activities and challenges to develop important life skills such as teamwork, problem solving, communication and resilience. The skills required to be great leaders!

The Young Leader programme is an opportunity to take the first stepping stone on a leadership journey. Participants will gain the skills required to lead and organise small games and activities. The programme is designed to develop confidence and resilience. All participants will finish the programme with a Young Leader certification from the Leadership Skills Foundation.

Delivered on Microsoft Teams, participants will meet online for approximately 1 and a half hours every two weeks on the following days and times:

– Thursday 9 October, 5 to 6pm
– Thursday 23 October, 5 to 6pm
– Thursday 6 November, 5 to 6pm

In order to complete the Young Leader programme, participants are required to attend each session.

Eye condition

If this is the first VICTA activity that you are applying for, please note that applicants must be registered sight impaired or severely sight impaired, or be able to provide proof that they are registerable. Any information or documents supplied must include the applicant’s name, date of birth and visual acuity.
Supporting documentation
If the applicant is registered, please include a copy of one of the following registration documents: - Certificate of Visual Impairment (CVI) - Blind Registration Card issued by local authority If the applicant is not registered, please provide: - a letter from an ophthalmologist confirming visual acuity. Please note, applications cannot be processed without these documents.

We are committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all attendees participating in our virtual events and we expect all participants to help ensure a safe and positive experience for everyone. Unacceptable behaviour including intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory or demeaning speech or actions will not be tolerated during any portion of a VICTA meeting or event.
Consequences of misconduct online may include:
• immediate removal from the event without warning
• restrictions from future events hosted by VICTA.
