These decorations shaped like trees
Are ready to delight and please!

Fred Howe, age 10

What Fred told us about his decoration: “This mini Christmas tree is made from a green pine smelling stick, its branches are multi-coloured pipe cleaners with beads for baubles at the end. It’s topped with a tactile gold and silver star and planted in a red felt plant pot. I wish there was smellovision as it smells like a pine forest in here.

There are 4 decorations each with a focus on a different sense. A jingle snowman made out of 2 white baubles with a red bell. A 3D decorated Christmas tree, a pine smelling tree made with coloured pipe cleaners and a pine stick. A bold contrast black and yellow tree. This activity inspired lots of conversations on the senses. Unfortunately the candy cane one got eaten before I took the pic!

Dalton Tilley, age 8

What Dalton told us about his decoration: “Metallic green Christmas tree decorated with tactile tinsel and baubles. A gold star and hanging loop at the top and multi colour sparkly sequins underneath the tree.”

Image description: The photo shows Dalton’s decoration as he has described above.

Umme Hani Javed, age 10

What Umme told us about his decoration: “Glowing with green and gold and reaching for the sky, this decoration is carefully constructed with fold after fold of painted paper to create an elegant Christmas tree. A beautiful specimen and topped with a golden star, perfect for those who love nature. How about #traditional? “

Image description: Umme has folded painted green paper in a concertina style and then folded it round to form a tree shape. It has been decorated with lots of small gold stars and has a larger shiny gold star on top.

Zannah Ives, age 8

What Zannah told us about her decoration: “It’s a Christmas tree made out of red, white and green buttons. The buttons are bigger at the bottom and get smaller towards the top. There is a small silver star on the top of the tree.”

Image description: The photo shows Zannah with a big smile on her face wearing a sequined Christmas tree top and holding up her decoration which she describes above.

Mary Cullen, age 6

What Mary told us about her decoration: “I have made a tree for VICTA’s tree. I chose the little piece of silver tinsel to go around the tree so that it would reflect the light, so my sister could see it really well. Happy Christmas!”

Image description: Christmas tree cut from shiny silver card, with a brown sparkly trunk. A silver pipe cleaner is wound round to look like tinsel and it has a gold gift bow on top.

Annabelle Hover, age 15

What Annabelle told us about her decoration: “Cardboard cut out of a tree. Tissue paper scrunched up and stuck on the tree. It has baubles and a star. Red ribbon at the top so it can hang on the tree.”

Image description: As she describes above, Annabelle’s tree is made from a collage of scrunched up tissue paper, green for the main tree, yellow for the star and pale pink, blue and yellow for the baubles.
